Joseph McLaughlin is a 2012 Republican and Conservative Party candidate seeking election to the U.S. House representing the 16th Congressional District of New York.

McLaughlin was a Republican candidate for District 81 of the New York State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010 and the general election was on November 2.

McLaughlin is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing New York's 16 District. He is seeking the nomination on the Republican and Conservative Party tickets. He was unopposed in the primaries and will face incumbent Eliot Engel (D) and Joseph Diaferia (G) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[1]

McLaughlin was uncontested in the September 14 Republican primary. McLaughlin was defeated by incumbent Jeffrey Dinowitz (D) in the general election on November 2.[2]
