Joseph Saladino is a Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing District 8 since 2013. He previously represented District 12 from March 2004 to 2013 after winning a special election.

Saladino's professional experiences include broadcast journalist, news anchor and broadcaster; executive assistant for the Town of Hempstead; and director of operations for Town of Oyster Bay.

Salandino attended Tulane University; and earned a BS and MS from New York Institute of Technology.[1]

Saladino ran in the 2012 election for New York State Assembly District 9. He defeated Richard W. Young in the Republican primary on September 13, 2012. He also ran on the Conservative Party and Independence Party of New York State tickets. He defeated Jay S. Cherlin in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Saladino ran unopposed in the September 14 Republican primary. He defeated Kevin Gorman (D) in the general election on November 2.[4] In addition to his slot on the Republican Party ticket, he was also listed as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State, the Conservative Party, the Working Families Party, and the Tax Revolt party.
