Josh Byrnes is a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing the 14th District since 2011.

Byrnes is the Agricultural and Industrial Division Chair at North Iowa Area Community College. He previously taught high school and middle school science in the towns of Mason City, Riceville, Osage and Denison, IA. Byrnes is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership Policy Studies from Iowa State University; he holds an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Winona State University and a B.A. in Biology from Luther College.
