Josh Cockroft is a Republican member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing the 27 District. Cockroft joined the house in 2010.

He is one of two 21-year-old representatives elected to serve in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, Elise Hall being the other. He has been active with the Young Republicans and youth to develop leadership skills with TeenPact across the state.[1]

Cockroft ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Oklahoma House District 27. He ran unopposed in the June 26 Republican primary and defeated Randy R Gilbert in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]

Cockroft defeated three opponents in the Republican primary on July 27, defeating his closest rival Richard Bennett by a margin of 744-456. Cockroft also won an August 24 primary runoff election, defeating Bennet by a margin of 1,138-456. Cockroft defeated Chris Odneal (D) in the general election.[4]
