Frazer earned her B.A. in English from Stetson University in 1956; M.A. in English from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1958; and Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 1964. Her professional experience includes working as a professor of English at Western Illinois University; assistant professor of English at Millikin University; instructor of English at the University of Wisconsin, Madison; instructor of English at Mercer University; and English teacher at Terry Parker Junior-Senior High School.
