Kathy Bernier is a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, District 68.

Bernier is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and earned a certificate in Public Management Essentials from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. She worked as a Chippewa County Clerk from 1999-2011.[1]

Bernier defeated Democratic incumbent Kristen Dexter in the November 2 general election. Bernier was unopposed in the primary election. [2] [3]

A recount request was filed with the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board on November 9, 2010[4]. The recount begun on November 11, 2010[5]. Bernier won the recount on November 16, 2010[6].
