Ken Cheuvront attended the Institut Études Européenes in 1981 where he studied French and Political Science. Two years later, he attended Claremont McKenna College and earned his BA in Political Science/Public Management. After earning his Bachelor's degree, Cheuvront attended the Université National de la Côte d'Ivoire in 1985, where he preformed graduate work. A year later Cheuvront went to the American Graduate School of International Management and earned his Masters degree. In 1992, he studied at the Japanese/American Business Exchange in Iberaki, Japan.
Ken Cheuvront's professional experience began in 1986, where he was a Commodity Exchange Options Floor Trader for the Commodities Exchange Center until 1989. In 1989, Cheuvront became a General Contractor/President for Cheuvront Construction, and currently maintains this position. In 2001, Cheuvront acted as both a Legislative Trainer and Advisor at the National Conference of State Legislatures and the National Democratic Institute. Since 2003, Ken Cheuvront is the self-employed owner of Cheuvront Wine and Cheese.
Ken Cheuvront began his political career in 1990 when he trained as a campaign worker. Two years later, he worked on the Executive Committee of the Democratic party while maintaining his position as a campaign worker. Since 1992, Cheuvront has been a Committee Member of the Arizona State Democratic Party. In 1994, Cheuvront became a representative of the Arizona State House of Representatives, and maintained his position until 2002. Before the end of his service on the Arizona State House of Representatives, he served as the Democratic Leader for one year, starting in 2001. In 1996, Cheuvront worked as a Clinton/Gore Delegate at the Democratic National convention and did the same for Gore/Liberman in 2000. Since 2003, Cheuvront has been a Senator in the Arizona State Senate, and maintains this current position.

Cheuvront is ineligible to run for re-election in 2010 due to Arizona's term limits.
2008
In 2008 Cheuvront was re-elected to the Arizona State Senate, District 15. He ran unopposed and finished with 30,321 votes.[1] Cheuvront raised $9,040 for his campaign fund.
