Ken Jacobsen was a Democratic member of the Washington State Senate. He represented District 46 from 1998-2010. Senator Jacobsen was first elected in 1982 to the Washington State House of Representatives. He served in the House from 1983 to 1996. [1]

On May 17, 2010, Jacobsen announced he would not be seeking re-election, in part due to health problems.[2]

Jacobsen attended both the University of Washington and Christchurch Teachers' College, New Zealand.
