Biography
Wiezer's family has resided in southern Illinois for generations, including Mulkeytown, (Franklin County), Williamson County, and Simpson, Illinois. [2]
Elections
2012
Wiezer was running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Illinois' 12th District. Wiezer was seeking the nomination on the Democratic ticket. [3] The signature filing deadline was December 27, 2011, with the primary taking place on March 20, 2012.
Wiezer and candidate Chris Miller were defeated by Brad Harriman in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1] In the Republican primary, Jason Plummer defeated candidates Rodger Cook and Theresa Kormos.[1]
Personal
Wiezer, is a participant in the National Genographic Global DNA Database project, which researches and holds the ancestry of people worldwide which dates back well over 40,000 years ago. [4]
