Kevin A. McCarthy (b. December 5, 1950) was a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 37th District from 1997 to December 27, 2011. He resigned without citing a specific reason.[1]

McCarthy received his MA from DePaul University and B.A. from Chicago State University. He served in the United States Army Reserve from 1971-1977, and is a teacher.[2]
