Kevin Engler (b. June 23, 1959) is a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 116 since January 7, 2013.

Engler served in the Missouri State Senate, representing District 3 from 2005 to 2013; he is a former Majority Floor Leader. He previously served in the House from 2003 to 2005. Engler also served on the Farmington City Council and as the Mayor of Farmington.

Biography

Engler earned his B.A. in Finance/General Business and Marketing from Southwest Missouri State University in 1981. His professional experience includes working for Representative Edward Jones.

Engler was a potential candidate in the 2013 special election for the U.S. House, representing Missouri's 8th District. The election is being held to replace Jo Ann Emerson. The general election took place June 4, 2013.[1]

There was no primary election, instead each party's nomination was be chosen by a committee. Jason T. Smith was selected by the GOP to be their nominee in the general election.[2][3]

Engler won election in the 2012 election for Missouri House of Representatives, District 116. Engler defeated John Robinson in the August 7 Republican primary and ran unopposed in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[4][5]
