Kevin McCarthy is a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives. He has represented the 67th District since 2003 and currently serves as House Minority Leader. McCarthy previously served as House Majority Leader.

McCarthy has worked on the staff of Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, and was an Attorney for the Tobacco Project.[1]

McCarthy ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 33. McCarthy ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012 and defeated Daniel G. LeRette (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
