Kevin McCarthy is a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives. He has represented the 67th District since 2003 and currently serves as House Majority Leader.

McCarthy has worked on the staff of Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, and was an Attorney for the Tobacco Project.[1]

McCarthy ran for re-election to the 67th District seat against Jeremy L. Walters (R). McCarthy had no opposition in the Democratic primary. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.


On November 4, 2008, McCarthy was re-elected to the 67th District Seat in the Iowa House of Representatives, defeating Larry Disney (R). [2] McCarthy raised $654,768 for his campaign, while Disney raised $11,507. [3]
