Reynolds attended Southwestern Community College. She then attended Northwest Missouri State University, majoring in Business Administration/Marketing.
Reynolds has worked as a Pharmacist Assistant. She was also on the Staff for the Clarke County Treasurer's Office, Department of Motor Vehicles. She then worked as a Board Member for the Iowa Public Employees Retirement System from 1996 to 2001.
Elections
2010
Reynolds won election to be lieutenant governor. She faced incumbent Patty Judge (D), Richard Marlar (Iowa Party), Nick Weltha (L) and Helen Meyers (SWP) in the general election on November 2, 2010. Governor Chet Culver has set a special election date of January 4, 2011 to fill her now vacant District 48 Senate seat. [2]
2008
On November 4, 2008, Reynolds was elected to the 48th District Seat in the Iowa State Senate, defeating Ruth Smith (D) and Rodney Schmidt (I). [3] Reynolds raised $118,940 for her campaign, while Smith raised $65,024 and Schmidt raised $0. [4]
