Kirsten Running-Marquardt is a Democratic member of the Iowa House of Representatives, representing the 33rd District since 2010. She won a special election to the seat on November 24, 2009.

Running-Marquardt graduated from the University of Iowa. She also attended Kirkwood Community College.

Running-Marquardt won re-election to the 33rd District seat in 2010. She faced no opposition in the June 8 primary. Josh Thurston ran for the seat on the Republican ticket. The general election was held on November 2.[1]
