Hoffman and his wife own and operate Central Fuel & Service in Coldwater, a full service gas station and auto repair facility.

Hoffman earned a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture Technology and Management from Kansas State University in 1994.[1]

Hoffman is running for re-election in the 2012 election for Kansas House of Representatives District 116. He defeated Terry Nunemaker in the August 7 Republican primary. District 80 incumbent Vincent Wetta was unopposed in the Democratic primary. The general election takes place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
