Language on the ballot:

This millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage. Shall the tax limitation on the general ad valorem taxes with Laketon Township imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution as previously increased for said Township by up to 1.9570 mills ($1.9570 per $1,000 of taxable value) be continued for the period 2014 through 2018 inclusive for Public Safety (Fire Protection, Police Protection and Fire Hydrant Fees); and shall the Township levy such millage for said purpose, thereby, raising in the first year up to an estimated $408,333.08?[1][2]
