Laketon Township Public Safety Levy Renewal Proposal (November 2012)
If approved, this proposal authorizes the Township of Laketon to renew a previously approved property tax increase of 1.957 mills ($1.957 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 5 years in order to fund Public Safety services. The estimated first year revenue from this tax is $408,333.08.

|“||This millage is a renewal of a previously authorized millage. Shall the tax limitation on the general ad valorem taxes with Laketon Township imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution as previously increased for said Township by up to 1.9570 mills ($1.9570 per $1,000 of taxable value) be continued for the period 2014 through 2018 inclusive for Public Safety (Fire Protection, Police Protection and Fire Hydrant Fees); and shall the Township levy such millage for said purpose, thereby, raising in the first year up to an estimated $408,333.08?||”|
