Lakeville School District Bond Measure (August 2012)
This measure was approved
- YES 1,969 (60.03%)
- NO 1,311 (39.97%)
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount of $7.58 million in order to help pay for upgrading technology, refurnishing, reequipping and remodeling buildings as well as purchasing new buses for the district. This was the third attempt by the school district to get this bond measure passed. The district tried again because state money was still available to help with the proposed projects, but if the measure had been defeated again then the opportunity to take advantage of the state money would have passed. This bond was slightly different than what was asked of residents in February, there was no proposal for a new auditorium.
