Larry J. Edgell (b. November 16, 1946) is a Democratic member of the West Virginia State Senate, representing District 2. He was first elected to the chamber in 1998.

Edgell was named as State Senate President Pro Tempore in January 2013. He previously served as Majority Whip.[1]

Biography

Edgell earned his B.A. from Fairmont State College. He went on to earn his MA from Salem Teikyo University. He is an educator.

Edgell's political career began with his service as a member on the New Martinsville City Council from 1966 to 1970.

Edgell has served in the United States Navy.[2]
