Larry J. Edgell (b. November 16, 1946) is a Democratic member of the West Virginia State Senate. He has been a Senator since 1998, representing the 2nd district. Edgell was named as State Senate President Pro Tempore in January 2013. He previously served as Majority Whip.[1]

Edgell's political career began with his service as a member on the New Martinsville City Council from 1966 to 1970.

Edgell is an educator. He earned his BA from Fairmont State College. He went on to earn his MA from Salem Teikyo University.

Edgell has served in the United States Navy.[2]
