Larry Obhof, Jr. is a Republican member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 22 since February 1, 2011. Obhof was appointed in 2011 to replace Bob Gibbs (R) who was elected to the US House of Representatives.[1]

Besides being a Senator, Obhof is an attorney with extensive experience in both general and appellate litigation. He is versed in a wide range of matters involving constitutional law, antitrust, torts, contract disputes and securities. Obhof has represented clients at all levels of both state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he teaches a course on Legislation.

Obhof attended The Ohio State University and received a B.A. in Economics, History and Political Science. He also attended Yale Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2003. While at Yale, he was editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation, and editor of the Yale Law and Policy Review.

Obhof is running for re-election in the 2012 election for Ohio Senate, District 22. Obhof was unopposed in the March 6 Republican primary election and is challenged by James E. Riley (D) in the general election which takes place on November 6, 2012.[2]
