Lawrence McAdory (b. June 21, 1929) is a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 56th district. He was elected in November 2009 to serve the remainder of Priscilla Dunn's term after she was elected to the Alabama State Senate.[1] He previously served in the House from 1994-98.

McAdory earned his AA, BS, and MA from Alabama State University. He is a retired School Principal/Attendance Supervisor/Science Teacher for Bessemer City Schools. He has also served in the United States Armed Forces and is the founder of McAdory Vault Company,

McAdory won re-election to the 56th District Seat in 2010. He defeated Claire B. Mitchell, David Vance and Melanie Bouyer in the primary. He faced no opposition in the November 2 general election.[2][3]

On November 7, 2006, McAdory was elected to the 56th District Seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, defeating opponent Claire B. Mitchell (D) in the Democratic primary runoff election.[4]
