If 2/3rds of the members of each chamber of the Kansas State Legislature approve a proposed constitutional amendment to the Kansas Constitution, the Secretary of State of Kansas publishes notice of it. The proposition, or a suitable ballot title and summary, is then placed on the statewide ballot in the next general election. A simple majority vote is required to approve the amendment.
