A Lee Village Property Tax Increase measure was on the March 20, 2012 ballot in the village of Lee which is in both DeKalb and Lee Counties.

This measure sought to increase the current property tax by a rate of .16 percent for a period of four years in order to further pay for village needs.[3]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the limiting rate under the Property Tax Extension Limitation Law for the Village of Lee, DeKalb and Lee Counties, Illinois, be increased by an amount equal to 0.16917% above the limiting rate for levy year 2012 and be equal to 0.50750% of the equalized assessed value of the taxable property therein for levy years 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015?
