A Leelanau Township General Levy Increase measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Leelanau, which is in Leelanau County.

This measure sought to increase the current general levy by a rate of $.47 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of four years in order to further pay for general operations in the township.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution be increased and renewed by 0.4745 mills ($0.4745 cents per $1,000 dollars of taxable value) to be levied for a period of four years (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), for the purpose of operating the Township's Airport, Cemeteries, Library, Parks and Recreation, Planning, Zoning Administration and other such lawful General Fund Services, and shall the Township Board be authorized to levy the proposed increase in an amount not to exceed 0.4745 mills for the stated purpose during such period, which may raise an estimated $182,823 in the first year of such levy?[3]
