Campaign themes

2013

Bellew's campaign website listed the following issues:[2]

  • Taxes

"Like most New Jerseyans, Bellew is convinced that New Jersey taxpayers are already overburdened and would cut spending rather than increase taxes. Bellew intends to reform the two major contributors to high property taxes in New Jersey: unfair education funding and crippling Mt. Laurel decisions."

  • Gun Rights

"Leigh-Ann Bellew is a lifetime member of the NRA and a gun owner who is committed to preserving the rights of District 13 voters to defend themselves and their families. She will fight to give New Jersey citizens the right to defend themselves against an intruder in their own homes, also known as the Castle Doctrine."

  • Life

"Bellew is unequivocally pro-life and has been her entire adult life. She will not waiver in her support of life from conception to natural death, evidenced by her service as Secretary for the Board of Directors at a local pregnancy center in Shrewsbury since 2007."
