Leigh Larocque (b. March 6, 1934) is a Republican member of the Vermont House of Representatives, representing Caledonia-1. He was first elected to the chamber in 1992, serving until 1996 and elected again in 1998.

Biography

Larocque received his Certificate from Saint Johnsbury Trade School in 1952.

Larocque has worked on the Saint Lawrence Seaway and Niagara Power Project. He has also worked on the Moore Dam in Waterford as a Project Inspector. He was a Concrete and Soils Technician for Ebasco Services in 1995 and for Uhl, Hall and Rich from 1956 to 1961. Larocque was the owner and operator of a dairy farm from 1962 to 1986. He then worked for Charles Fenoff Redi-Mix from 1987 to 1995 as a Concrete Mix Plant Operator. He has been a Concrete and Soils Technician for a construction materials testing company since 1995.

Larocque was Chair of the Barnet Selectboard from 1988 to 2002.

Larocque won re-election in the 2012 election for Vermont House of Representatives Caledonia 1. Larocque was unopposed in the August 28 Republican primary and defeated Claudette Sortino (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
