Campaign themes

On his campaign website, Gerson lists six issues he is concerned about.[2] They are:

  • Taxes
Excerpt: "Increase the money coming back into the state, by eliminating special treatment tax breaks for the rich and wealthy: Not by increasing taxes on small business and the working man or woman."
  • Government Spending and Accountability
Excerpt: "Increase the money coming back into the state, by eliminating special treatment tax breaks for the rich and wealthy: Not by increasing taxes on small business and the working man or woman."
  • Small Business
Excerpt: "Government needs to provide tax incentives and the tools for small business to thrive. Make it affordable for local small businesses to hire new workers and pay a fair living wage, and everyone benefits."
  • Wages
Excerpt: "Give people an incentive to work by being able to make a living wage. Minimum wage jobs are available, but why would anyone want them when they can't even earn enough to survive?"
  • Our Environment
Excerpt: "Preserve and protect our environment, while allowing agriculture to thrive and coexist. Attempt a solution fair to all, and not a compromise."
  • Education
Excerpt: "Support the greatest job-creating engine which already exists: Our Public Schools and Florida's Colleges and Universities."
