Lesli Rae Messinger was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House representing the 1st Congressional District of Georgia. She lost to incumbent Jack Kingston.[1]

Messinger ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Georgia's 1st District. Messinger ran for the seat on the Democratic ticket. [2] Candidates wishing to run were required to file by the signature filing deadline of May 25, 2012. The primary elections were held on July 31, 2012. She won the primary and advanced to the general election on November 6, 2012, when she lost to Jack Kingston, incumbent.[3]
