Licking County Parks District Levy Implementation (March 2012)
The measure was approved
- YES 16,917 (53.52%)
- NO 14,689 (46.48%)
This measure sought to add to the current levy by a rate of .25 mills for a period of five years in order to pay for park, trail and recreational purposes in the county. The additional money will go towards maintaining current bike trails and sustaining paths for residents. The group Citizens for Parks, Paths and Trails was the main force behind the measure getting approved and had been promoting the measure.

The question on the ballot:
|An additional tax for the benefit of the Licking Park District, Licking County, OH, for the purpose of parks, trails, and recreational purposes, at a rate not exceeding twenty-five hundredths of one (0.25) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to two and one-half cents ($0.025) for each one hundred dollars in valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.|
