This measure seeks to renew the current road levy which is set at a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for road operational costs in the township.

The question on the ballot:
|Shall the previously voted increase in the 15-mill tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution upon taxable real and personal property within Lilley Township be renewed at 1.0 mills ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value) for the period of 2012 through 2016, inclusive, for the purpose of funding the operation of the Lilley Township Roads; and shall the Township levy such renewal in millage for such purposes during this period?|
