There was a Lincoln School District Bond Measure on the May 4 ballot in Washtenaw County for voters in the Lincoln school district.

This measure was approved

  • YES 1,087 Approveda
  • NO 856

This measure sought to create a bond in the amount of $35,000,000 in order to help with furnishing, equipping and building additions to the performing arts center and also purchasing new buses.[1] A new performing arts building was the main priority for the bond money, along with roof repairs, security system updates and parking lot replacement. School officials were out trying to educate residents hoping that they will approve the bond.[2] They were stressing that the bond would not add new taxes to residents, but would extend the current tax for a further nine years. Even those who do not have children attending the schools, school officials stressed that good school improve property values.[3]
