Forry won election in the special election for Massachusetts State Senate First Suffolk District. The seat was vacant following Jack Hart's (D) resignation to take a job at a law firm. Forry defeated Nick Collins and Maureen Dahill in the April 30 Democratic primary and defeated Joseph Anthony Ureneck (R) in the general election which took place on May 28.[1][2][3]
