Lisa Baker has been a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate since being first elected in November of 2010 with her term expiring in 2014. Baker has had extensive political experience before becoming a Senator. Baker was a Deputy Chief of Staff to former Republican Governors Mark Schweiker and Tom Ridge. Also, Baker served as Chief of Staff to State Senator Charles Lemmond and as a Research Analyst to State Senator Robert C. Jubelirer.

Baker graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Government Administration from Shippensburg University in 1983,.
