Lisa Barfield-McCarty was an independent candidate for Lieutenant Governor of Mississippi in the 2011 elections. Both Barfield-McCarty and Tracella Lou O'Hara Hill claimed to represent the official Reform Party of Mississippi. The State Board of Election Commissioners ruled in early September 2011 that Hill would be the only recognized Reform candidate, and removed Barfield-McCarty's name from the general election ballot.
