Lisa Brown (b. October 9, 1956) is a Democratic member of the Washington State Senate. She has represented district 3 for four consecutive terms since 1997. She currently serves as Majority Leader since 2005. In 2003, she was the Democratic Leader in the senate. Previously, Brown served in the Washington State House of Representatives from 1993 to 1996.

Brown earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Colorado in 1996 after receiving a BA from the University of Illinois in 1974, and a MA in Economics from the University of Colorado in 1991.

Brown was an associate professor for Eastern Washington University from 1981 to 2001, and as an associate professor in Organizational Leadership at Gonzaga University since 2001.[1]
