Two Livonia City Levy Increase Measures may be on the August 2, 2011 ballot in the city of Livonia, which is in Wayne County.

The first measure seeks to increase the current police and fire levy by a rate of 1.7 mills in order to further fund police services offered in the city. Police officials noted that the increase tax will make up for the decline in property tax rates and the loss of revenue. Noting as well that the city is one of the safest currently and maintaining services is important.

The second measure seeks to increase the current senior center levy by a rate of .25 mills in order to continue to fund services at the Livonia Senior Center and the Greenmead Historical Village.[1]
