Locy Baker was a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 85th district, Henry and Houston counties. He was first elected in 1994.

Baker has served in the National Guard since 1973. He previously served on the Dothan City Board of Education, Barbour County Board of Education, and worked for the Daniel Construction Company, and as Director of Student Support Services at George C. Wallace College.

Baker is a member of the Alabama Education Association, Free and Accepted Masonry, Kappa Alpha Psi, Kiwanis Club, Legislative Council, Southern States Energy Board, and Deacon of Mary Magdalene Baptist Church.[1]

Baker ran for district 28 of the Alabama State Senate. He was defeated in the June 1 primary.

2006

On November 7, 2006, Baker was re-elected to the 85th District Seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, defeating opponent Harold Raley (R).[2]
