Jones was defeated by Terry Rogers (R) in the November 8 special election. Bruce Harkness, Sr. (R) also ran. Since Rogers received a majority of the vote, a run-off election will not be held. Party affiliation was listed, and all candidates appeared on the same ballot.[2][3]
