Louie Gohmert (b. August 18, 1953) is a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Texas. Gohmert serves the 1st congressional district of Texas. He was first elected to the House in 2004.

Biography

After earning his J.D. from Baylor University's School of Law, Gohmert went into private practice. He also spent four years in the U.S. Army.[1]
