Lynda Lovejoy is a former Democratic member of the New Mexico Senate representing District 22 since 2013. Lovejoy served in the New Mexico State House of Representatives from 1989 to 1999. She was then appointed to the New Mexico State Senate in March of 2007.

Lovejoy has worked as Manager for various nonprofit organizations. She has also worked as Consultant for Telecom/Electric Utility. She has been Director of the Navajo Area Agency on Aging Navajo Nation.

Lovejoy earned her AA in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico-Gallup Campus in 1985. She went on to receive her BS in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University in 1987. She is currently attending New Mexico Highland University for her MBA.
