Maine Coalition to Save Schools

The Maine Coalition to Save Schools is a group of 150 citizens fighting a consolidation plan to reduce the number of school districts in Maine from 290 to 80 through use of the Maine veto referendum. The attempted to repeal the school consolidation laws in 2008 and in 2009.

The 2009 measure will appear on the November 2009 ballot as Question 3.
