A Maine Sunday Liquor Sales Veto Vote was on the 1966 ballot in Maine as a veto referendum. Voters were asked if they wanted to ratify a recent act of the Maine State Legislature relating to the sale of liquor on Sundays.

Voters rejected the legislation:

  • In favor: 101,086
  • Opposed: 102,392

Sunday liquor in 1990

In 1990, a citizen initiative, Maine Stores Opening on Sundays Act (1990), was on the ballot and passed.
