A Manistee County Central Dispatch Levy Renewal proposal was on theNovember 6, 2012 election ballot in Manistee County, which is in Michigan.

If approved, this proposal authorizes the Manistee County to renew a property tax of 1 mill ($1 per $1,000 of assessed valuation) for 5 years in order to fund the upgrade of 911 emergency response telecommunications and Central Dispatch. The estimated first year revenue from this tax is $1,090,060.[1]

Language on the ballot:

Shall the County of Manistee renew a previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution on General ad valorem taxes within the County of Manistee at 1.000 mill ($1.00 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) for the period of 2013 through 2017, inclusive, to operate, maintain, and upgrade the 911 emergency response telecommunications system and Central Dispatch system in Manistee County, and shall the County of Manistee levy such renewal in millage for said purpose, thereby raising in the first year an estimated $1,090,060.00.
