A Maple Valley Fire Levy Increase measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Maple Valley, which is in Montcalm County.

This measure was approved

This measure sought to increase the current fire levy by a rate of $1 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of four years in order to further pay for fire protection services in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:

Shall the Township of Maple Valley tax rate limitation be increased in the years 2013 - 2016, both inclusive, in the amount of 1.0 mill ($1.00 per $1,000 of taxable value), and levied on taxable property in the Township, subject to reduction as provided by law?[3]
