Lewis is running in the 2012 election for the U.S. House, representing Illinois 2nd District. Lewis is seeking the nomination on the Independent ticket.[2] The general election takes place on November 6, 2012. Lewis will run against incumbent Jesse L. Jackson, Jr. (D) and Brian Woodworth (R) in the general election.
