Margaret Doherty is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives. She was appointed to District 35 on September 21, 2009 to complete the term of former Representative Larry Galizio, who resigned.

Doherty is owner of Floral Design Business, and is a retired teacher from Milwaukie High School. She holds a Master's from Lewis and Clark College after completing her undergraduate work in Speech Communications/Theater from Portland State University.

Doherty is a consultant for the Oregon Education Association and member of the Tigard Planning Commission.[1]

Doherty won re-election in the 2012 election for Oregon House of Representatives District 35. Doherty was unopposed in the May 15 Democratic primary and defeated John Goodhouse (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
