Margaret Markey is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly. She has represented District 30 since 1999.

Markey ran unopposed in the September 14 Democratic primary. She defeated Anthony Nunziato (R) in the general election on November 2.[1] Nunziato was also listed as a candidate of the Independence Party of New York State and the Conservative Party.


On November 4, 2008 Markey won re-election to the New York State Assembly, District 30, defeating opponent Anthony Nunziato (R).

Markey raised $57,911 for his campaign while Nunziato raised $58,838.[2]
