Marilyn Lee is a former Democratic member of the Hawaii House of Representatives, representing District 38 from 1996 to 2012. She was the Majority Whip in 2012 and was Majority Floor Leader from 2000-2006.

Lee has worked as a registered nurse since 1962. She served as a nurse in the United States Navy from 1960-1966.

She is a member of the Central Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society Leeward, founder and President of the Central Oahu Caregivers Support Group of the Central Oahu Soroptimists, and member/Chair of Mililani High School School Community Based Management.[1]

Lee ran for re-election in the 2012 election for Hawaii House of Representatives District 36. Lee ran unopposed in the August 11 Democratic primary and was defeated by Beth Fukumoto (R) in the general election which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3][4]

Lee won re-election to the 38th District Seat in 2010. She had no primary opposition on September 18, 2010. The general election took place on November 2, 2010. Shaun Kawakami ran on the Republican ticket for this seat.[5]

On November 4, 2008, Lee won re-election to the Hawaii House of Representatives from Hawaii's 38th District, defeating Melvin Apana (R). Lee received 8,268 votes in the election while Apana received 3,855 votes.[6] Lee raised $31,455 for her campaign; Apana raised $486.[7]
